How DroneGuide.ie keeps its drone advice independent and accurate, from choosing products to handling corrections.
Our readers spend real money and fly in real airspace based on what we write. This policy sets out the standards we hold ourselves to.
Our picks are not for sale
No manufacturer or retailer can pay for a place in our guides, or to change what we say about a product. We do not accept sponsored reviews.
We earn affiliate commissions on some links, as explained in our affiliate disclosure. Commissions never decide our rankings. We regularly recommend drones we cannot link to.
Rules come from the regulator
Everything we say about Irish drone law is checked against the Irish Aviation Authority's own guidance, and against EASA where EU rules apply. We do not rely on third-party summaries, many of which describe rules that no longer apply.
Our rules pages are general information, not legal advice. Each one links to the official source so you can check it.
Facts we can stand behind
Product specifications come from manufacturers. Weather facts come from Met Éireann. Where sources disagree, we say so rather than picking the more convenient figure.
We do not invent prices. Prices in our product boxes come directly from the retailer and update automatically.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and update the page date. Significant corrections to rules or safety advice are noted on the page.
